ARC Raiders Anti-Cheat and Hardware Privacy Guide
This ARC Raiders Anti-Cheat guide covers the switch to Denuvo, confirmed PC behavior, HWID questions, official troubleshooting, and current privacy limits.
The current ARC Raiders anti-cheat is not accurately described by older pages that call the game an Easy Anti-Cheat title and stop there. Embark completed its rollout of Denuvo Anti-Cheat in June 2026 and later confirmed that Denuvo is enforced for all players. The studio also uses additional internal and external detection layers.
That distinction matters for ARC Raiders HWID questions. A product name tells you which security component is present, but it does not expose a private hardware fingerprint recipe or prove the type of restriction on one account.
The anti-cheat changed during 2026
Embark’s May Ensuring Fair Play update described Easy Anti-Cheat as part of the live protection stack while the studio tested a new kernel-level solution. That made EAC-based descriptions reasonable at the time, but they did not remain complete for long.
On June 30, the official Store Update 1.35.0 stated that Denuvo Anti-Cheat had been rolled out to all players. Embark’s July 7 Live Update 1.36.0 then said Denuvo was enforced for everyone and discussed continued refinement of hardware detection, software detection, and machine-learning input telemetry.
The useful conclusion is not simply “Denuvo replaced EAC.” Embark describes a layered approach. Its common anti-cheat questions say the studio uses in-house solutions, multiple external partners, and other detection methods in addition to named products such as EAC or Denuvo.
What official sources say about hardware detection
Embark explicitly mentions hardware and software detection in its July update. It does not list the identifiers collected, explain how they are combined, or publish a threshold for a hardware-level restriction.
That leaves several claims unverified:
- which firmware, storage, network, or graphics fields are read
- whether every enforcement includes a device component
- how long a device restriction would last
- whether one game update changes an existing sanction
- whether a particular third-party utility is compatible
Our hardware fingerprinting guide explains common identifier classes that Windows software can access. It is general technical context, not a reverse-engineered ARC Raiders specification.
Be skeptical of pages that present a precise list of “everything Denuvo reads” without a reproducible source. Embark deliberately withholds detection details, and its support page warns that sellers claiming to be undetected may not be truthful.
A ban, an integrity error, and a crash are different
An account enforcement normally appears as an account or access decision. An integrity error can occur when the anti-cheat rejects the current software environment. A crash may come from the game, driver, operating system, or protected service. Treating all three as an HWID ban creates bad diagnostics.
Start with the exact symptom:
- Record the full message, code, and time.
- Check whether the Embark account can sign in normally.
- Note whether failure occurs before launch, at the menu, or after matchmaking.
- Review the current ARC Raiders support page and release notes.
- Reboot and reproduce once with supported software only.
- Use Embark Support for an enforcement or unresolved integrity message.
Do not test a suspected restriction by cycling through accounts. That can expose more accounts to the same unresolved condition and makes a clean support timeline harder to establish.
Embark also states that virtual machines are disallowed and may trigger anti-cheat action. Players doing legitimate virtualization or malware-lab work should keep that environment separate from ARC Raiders rather than assuming a VM is an accepted way to isolate the game.
Privacy questions worth asking
Kernel-level protection deserves precise questions rather than broad claims. Useful questions include:
- Which named anti-cheat services are installed today?
- When do those services start and stop?
- What does Embark’s current privacy policy say about device information?
- Which error identifies an unsupported program or system state?
- Does the service remain installed after the game is removed?
- Which support route handles an incorrect enforcement?
The official updates establish that Denuvo is active and that ARC Raiders uses more than one detection layer. They do not establish that every local identifier is collected or that any privacy tool is invisible to those layers.
For background on one commonly discussed firmware field, read SMBIOS UUID privacy. For the difference between reversible session changes and firmware writes, read temporary HWID masking.
SpoofHWID compatibility is not verified
ARC Raiders is not listed on the live SpoofHWID Status page as of September 26, 2026. This article is therefore informational and makes no product compatibility claim.
Do not infer support because SpoofHWID covers another game, an older EAC configuration, or a generic Windows identifier category. ARC Raiders changed its protection stack during 2026, and any future compatibility statement needs a test against the current game and current anti-cheat versions.
Even verified identifier masking would not reverse an Embark account action, restore lost items, change server-side records, or authorize conduct prohibited by the game’s rules.
How to keep information current
A dependable ARC Raiders guide should display its review date and link directly to the publisher’s release notes. Check these items after a major update:
- whether Denuvo remains enforced
- whether Embark names a new anti-cheat layer
- whether Windows or firmware requirements changed
- whether support guidance identifies new error codes
- whether the SpoofHWID Status page has added a dated compatibility result
